How much do love birds (a pair) normally cost??
I am getting a pair of love birds they are green and one is peach faced. It comes with a cage 2 books a stand, and food. I am getting it for free since I have to drive almost 4 hours to get them. I have to get one of them healed since it has been plucking its feathers. Is this for all I’m getting worth it?
And how do you stop a bird from plucking? The lady I’m getting them from said the younger one of the pair is doing the plucking.
I have 2 other birds and 9 years of experience but I have never delt with plucking before. Please help !!!
Thanks in advance!!
Why would a pair of Eastern Blue Birds be in Kansas and also have hatched young here also?
There is a pair of Eastern bluebirds with 4 (there used to be 5) hatched young in North Eastern Kansas. They have been here all breeding season and they took a spot in our birdhouse and then laid eggs. The young also keep falling out of the nest but they have only started doing this recently since they have started growing.
At the moment I am very concerned. My mother and I are trying to find a way to remedy the chicks falling out. This morning I woke up and found 2 more of the chicks andhad been there for quite some time. A third was in the nest and had also died, so now there is only one chick left. It is still gaping but it seems . . . . . I don’t know how to describe it but it doesn’t seem like the parents are really caring for their chicks (it also didn’t seem that way yesterday. ) Would it be okay if I went out and bought mealworms or some other form of food for the last nestling?
