Casa Blanca Bird Spa – Act 016 – Blue Jays Check Out New Suet Cake Feeder on Rainy Day
Blue Western Scrub Jays find new ways to pick at bird feeder suet cake from different angles on a rainy day. One jay does most of the work while the other takes notes from a distance. These two jays often come together and one usually does the feeding job while the other perches nearby as a lookout. Other jays sometime come to share the bounty with very uncooperative attitudes!

Squirrel descends cables, drinks water, encounters hampster wheel in direction of wild bird feeder. Can't figure out how to get to bird feeder over wheel, although he can easily jump the distance from the water tray. Will he figure out this problem in the future?

Bird feeders don't attract this wood pecker, but the Jacaranda tree does! Hopping from branch to branch, this pecker inspects the nitty gritty of the bark and branches.
Casa Blanca Bird Spa – Act 007 – Goldfinches, House Finches, Squirrel Share Feeding Area
Goldfinches feed on thistle seed in feeder tube while house finches enjoy the bounty of wild bird feeder. Squirrel enjoys seeds dropped below feeders. New, smaller water tray replaces larger tray shown previously. This arrangement helps to keep squirrels from jumping into bird feeders because of spacing.
