They are extremely resilient. I have had squirrel pets fall from much higher onto concrete and they couldn’t care less. Some fall out of HUGE trees and just get up and keep running around without any injuries.

The squirrel is fine. This isn’t meant to hurt them, it’s just so they learn not to eat from the feeder.
It’s one thing to set one of these spinning feeders up over grass in the back yard, but to set one up over water and hard rocks encircling that water is just plain thoughtless. That squirrel looked like its upper half hit the rocks. Broken ribs? Hurt arm? Hit its chin or head? Simply appalling.
THATS REALLY CRUEL! i hate people editing bird feeders to make it impossible for squirells or trick them, they loveable creatures..people shouldnt dis-respect them due to they’re more skilled than birds….IF SQUIRELLS WANT FOOD AND BIRDS WANT FOOD THERE SHOULD NOT BE A BIASY FOR BIRDS
